Optimizing requirements for wood coatings
Bednářová, Ilona ; Petránek, Vít (referee) ; Vaněrek, Jan (advisor)
The work deals with wood coating systems. It is focused on the theoretical division of paints due to different aspects, moreover on testing of wood coating systems. In the practical part of the work, the experimental work regarding the influence of weather conditions onto durability of different wood coatings system was preceded. They were compared two different coatings within the basic tests in different environments.
Design of Lacquer Thickness Meter
Rzyman, Michal ; Sládek, Josef (referee) ; Rubínová, Dana (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the design of a device designed to measure the thickness of the paint. The aim of the thesis is to design a device that is visually attractive and has a well-designed ergonomics. The result of the work is a hand-held device that comes out of the shape of a pen. The grip parts are designed from soft plastic and the buttons are appropriately spaced. The whole device is designed in an elegant shape inspired by the automotive industry. Particular benefits for this area can be, above all, these things. Compact shaping, using the latest technology, namely USB type C, electronic gyroscope or Transreflex LCD display. The overall benefit of the work is a different new look at the traditional design and the whole concept of measuring devices.
Polymer protective systems for concrete floors
Novotná, Adéla ; Vyhnánek, Miroslav (referee) ; Petránek, Vít (advisor)
The thesis is addressing the testing of protective polymer layers, which are used mainly for industrial floors. A summary table of standards is presented, dividing the test carried out on the binders, fillers, fresh mixture and polymerized material. Non standardize tests are described in detail in a very similar way as it is performed by the Institute of Technology of Building Materials and Components. The second part of my thesis is devoted to testing of the reference material and material filled with raw substances. Based on recommendations of Lena Chemical Company, filler – ground windscreen glass will be used. On this type of mixture selected set of tests needed for construction and technical certificates was performed.
Increasing the durability of cement-bonded particleboards using surface treatments
Zrza, Ondřej ; Vacula, Miroslav (referee) ; Bydžovský, Jiří (advisor)
Materials based on renewable rew materials are even in modern architecture still applied. Due to their nature exhibit sensitivity to weathering, e.g. in terms of their durability, volume stability etc. These undesirable charakteristics can be achieved by suitable finish. Within thesis were evaluated currently used types of coatings and their application in order to eliminate the adverse effects, such as frost, chemical deicing agents or chemicals.
Surface treatment of car body
Talafa, Michal ; Kandus, Bohumil (referee) ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (advisor)
In this work, the theory describes modifications to the car bodies, especially their finishes. Thus pretreatment before the coating lacquer layers. There are described the types of pre-treatment such as degreasing and corrosion protection. Also deals with the coating, and their functions and applications to the car body. Since the body does not consist only of metal, there is another part of the work focused on the plastics that are used and their painting.
Project planning and management of construction residential houses in the file Štětí
Sládek, Lukáš ; Hanzelková, Martina (referee) ; Šlanhof, Jiří (advisor)
The subject of this thesis is the preparation and organization of construction of residential buildings in Štětí. In the technological regulations deal with all the layers of flooring from the ceiling construction in residential buildings. The objects are hard floors. For floor coverings will be used PVC roofing, ceramic tiles and concrete coating. It will be used for machining of concrete. Next, I will discuss technological instruction, timing, valuation of all technological stages, construction site equipment, health and safety at work. Also here describe the proper allocation of construction processes into sub-processes to technological stage of completion of work most effectively achieve the objective.
Surface Modification of Ferrous Materials
Jakubčíková, Lucie ; Tulka, Jaromír (referee) ; Molliková, Eva (advisor)
The bachelor´s thesis is about surface treatments. There are mentioned iron-based materials and their marking. The process of corrosion and wear of materials is described. Then is analyzed the main topic of surface pretreatments, metal, inorganic non-metallic and organic coatings. The basic properties of the coatings and their testing is described. At the end are mentioned the negative effects of the surface treatments.
Degradation of painted components due to chemical compounds exposure
Vodák, Martin ; Kaluža, Zdeněk (referee) ; Tokař, Stanislav (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with level of degradation of coating layers of car body by contact with chemicals in agreed time periods. First part is focused on surface pre-treatment and coating process in automotive industry. Description of coating materials is following. The last point of first part is focused on alternative coating technology – powder coating what is raising in customers´ focuses because of higher repeatability of powder cloud. The experiment is focused on coating degradation influenced by seven types of chemicals (petrol, diesel, AdBlue, washer fluid, salt liquid, Coca-Cola, alcoholic liquid) what car users meet every day. Testing samples were two bonnets. One was localized inner and another outside. Degradation of coating layer thickness was a long-time term and we measured connection between time of contact and used chemical. Based on such results we were able to determinate level of damage.
The Effect of the Time of Bird Droppings Remaining on the Vehicle Body on the Damage Degree of the Paintwork
Bílek, Tomáš ; Kaluža, Zdeněk (referee) ; Bradáč, Albert (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the issue of the degree of damage done to the vehicle‘s body paint varnish by bird droppings; with respect to the influence of the pollution time on the thickness of the layer of lacquer. The first chapter deals with the importance of varnish and other layers of body protection, types of body varnish damage, painting technology, lacquer defects, bird droppings and its effects on the varnish of the vehicle‘s body. The second chapter is dedicated exclusively to the description, planning and measurement of the coated layers on the vehicle’s body contaminated with bird feces.
